is proud to unveil our new Digital Watercolor images. These heirloom-quality pieces of art are a perfect way to combine images of your family with art that will compliment your home. Available in 30″ and larger sizes, a piece like this is destined to impress all your guests. A hand-applied digital technique make each piece—even from the same image—unique. Each work of art is printed on canvas, and gallery wrapped for a beautiful presentation with or without a frame. In addition, we have created several artist-inspired versions from which you can choose. Whether you like the effect a little or a lot, you are going to love the final product.
a Lori Luza “inspired” version while this one more closely resembles a real photograph, it still has the watercolor effect in the detail of the image, which will be exaggerated slightly when printed on canvas
Digital Watercolors can be created from almost any image and can be printed in a wide variety of sizes. Square images are particularly stunning.
Investment:
30″ images start at $ 700
36″ images start at $ 800
From time to time, photographers have to teach others exactly where the line is drawn in the use of images taken in public. While we strive to respect everyone’s wishes regarding the posting of their images, here are some guidelines that we feel are helpful to everyone to know.
(and thanks to Twitter users for pointing out this great site, today. I feel bad for those who were just taking snap shots in front of the hotel and were “asked” to stop.)
This site is a great resource for anyone who has concerns about having their photograph taken in public. It’s written from the perspective of the photographer, but the rules still apply.
Kristin Anderson’s bridal session included her mom and sister and was held on campus in anticipation of her May 24th wedding. She was a relaxed and easy-going bride-to-be, which made for a fun session with some great images!
We’ve been meaning to design a commercial and put it on YouTube for a very long time. I finally made the time to lean iMovieHD for the Mac so I could do this. This is not a final product; I only had a few events handy to pull images from. Still, it’s a good first one!
As You Wish has a busy couple of weeks. This week, we have several commercial photography sessions with local businesses, a luncheon, some volunteer work, an engagement session, a consultation, and several other obligations. Saturday night, we are sponsoring and shooting a benefit concert for KEOS. whew, it’s going to be one wild rest-of-the-week!
Sunday is the beginning of Texas Photography School, which runs from ~8am to ~1am all week long. So, As You Wish will be closed for the week and I probably won’t be able to get to email.
So, if you need something, feel free to email me. We’ll get back to you as soon as we have recovered from these very, very busy two weeks!
As You Wish is a proud sponsor of this fine event. We love local/community/volunteer radio!
KEOS is holding a Benefit Fundraiser Concert Sat. April 26 at
StageCenter Community Theatre, 201 B W. 26th St. in downtown Bryan.
The concert begins at 5pm and will run until just past midnight.
StageCenter is located in the former 3rd Floor Cantina, home to many
concerts in the past, so the acoustics of the building are ideal for
the music being planned.
Singer-Songwriters Selia Qynn, Tom Tranchilla, Willie B and Saylor
White (with son, Kenyon) all from the Houston area will perform. Other
bands include the Neeley Lewis Band (a bluegrass group) and
rock band, The Guns of Detroit, both from the Bryan/College Station
area, as well as Sweet Mama Cotton (Houston) and Beth Isbell (Oklahoma
City). Beth is the front person for the psychedelic rock band, The
Dead Prophets hailing from Dallas, while Sweet Mama Cotton has played
at the Navasota Blues Festival in past years.
A donation of $10 (ten dollars) will help KEOS to keep continuing to
provide quality programming for the diverse community they represent.
More information can be found at KEOS’ website, www.keos.org.
Come see us at the event. Pose for a photo. You may even end up on the KEOS website. You could be famous!
My husband, Emil, had a workshop to attend in Austin. I joined him at the end of the week so I could spend some time shooting in the pretty Hill Country. (We then spent the weekend with friends.)
I came back with hundreds of images, mostly of peacocks. What a fun trip!
