Wedding Season 2007
As Many of you are already aware, As You Wish is hitting a busy series of weeks in April and May. We are working furiously to get caught up on all past orders so those are in place before this next flurry of activity. Like you all, we are even filing our tax return at this same time of year.

Bookings Timeline
The biggest question I have had from clients recently is,
"When should we shoot engagements and bridals?"
In today's wedding industry, the answers are widely varied.
- Engagements can be shot almost any time. Many couples book their engagement session as soon as they hire a photographer. Others may wait for a certain season. Some couples still use a black and white image from this session to advertise their upcoming wedding to family and friends back home. As You Wish recommends you shoot engagements 4-6 weeks in advance of when you need an image.
- Bridals are usually shot about 8 weeks before the wedding. This gives you a trial run at hair, makeup, and your bouquet. Be careful that your dress shop/designer and/or seamstress are aware of these. Lately, many bridal salons key off the wedding date and fail to leave enough time for the bridal session.
Whatever timeline you choose for either session, be sure to leave enough time for As You Wish to process the images (about one week) and for you and your family/attendants to help you select the best ones. Allow another two weeks for ordering.
